Therion, the only true-black, half-Accoyo male standing at stud today and he's available for limited breedings.  He has ribbons to prove his value!    Therion's first cria was born February 2000, his second in May. (The first is an all-black little male out of a grey mom and the second is a brown little girl out of a very light-fawn (almost white) mom!  We'll be putting their pictures on this site shortly.)  Please call or e-mail us for more information.

BRED FEMALES

PC Remy:        $17,500

Remy is white with black skin pigmentation.  She has thrown light fawn, very dark fawn, and black. She is a fantastic and gentle mom with lots of milk and has a lot of option with color.  She delivered a gorgeous very dark fawn male on August 29, he is out of NWA Felix.  He is beautiful with black points.   We've named him Grand MarnierRemy is bred back to Amante Mago, our half Peruvian fawn male who has settled his first two females.  We are expecting color again as he has a lot of color genes in his pool, black and maroon.

This is the perfect example of an ordinary looking colored Chilean producing the most beautiful crias when bred to a great Peruvian sire!  She has been bred to Accoyo Vengador and produced our Serena (not for sale) and Tomasina who sold this summer, these animals have the greatest histograms of our farm.  She currently has a gorgeous, light fawn female cria out of Snowmass' Accoyo Legacy (not included). She is not a large animal and consistently shears at 8 lbs. Her crias have terrific density in their fleece and a great crimp. This is a chance to get color into your herd!   She is currently rebred to Amante Mago since they produced such a gorgeous female.  Due May 2001.

A beautiful white Hemingway girl with fabulous fiber (micron 21.1, SD 4.5, CV is 21.2 and 3.4% over 30 Microns).  Bella has fiber as fine as angel hair and she's been a great mom to her female cria out of Peruvian Legacy (not in price).  She is currently bred to GHA Therion, our beautiful true black half Accoyo male.  She is due in July 2000.  Since her skin pigmentation is black we are really anxious to see what color we get.

An unusually gorgeous Chilean, true-black female.  Dam of our half-Accoyo black Therion.  She has produced two blacks, two maroons, and two browns out of Accoyo sires.  She took a blue ribbon at AOBA as a juvenile.   She just produced a full black male out of Peruvian Cahuide.  She is currently being bred to Diego (son of Legacy) whose fleece took first place at Alpacafest 2000 and received the highest score given by the judge.

What a pedigree!  A Hemingway granddaughter and a Legacy daughter.  Her dam, Bella, has the finest fleece we have produced on our farm, and her little girl is beautiful.  Legaacy has the greatest coverage from head to toe and we love what this combination has produced.  Her cria will be full Peruvian--she is currently bred to Peruvian Vengador.  What a way to get into the business with pedigrees like this!  Le Lucy has a micron of 17.0 with a SD of 3.6 and a CV of 21.2% with 0.6% less than 30 microns!  Due Fall 2001.

This beautiful black female is half-Accoyo.  Gorgeous, lustrous fiber and excellent conformation, this girl is currently bred to our half-Accoyo true-black male, Therion.  This will be a Camilio and Victor grand-cria!  It should be black!  She is due April 2001.

This is another of Hallie's great crias!  She weighed 21 lbs. at birth.  She is a nice size girl.  Her fiber is lovely.  She has inherited her sire's crimp style.  We are amazed at what Hallie produces out of these Peruvian sires!  Remember--she has all of those color genes.  Her cria will be full-Peruvian.  She has a 23.0 micron with a SD of 4.6 and a CV of 20% at one year.  She is currently bred to Peruvian (Accoyo) Microsoft.   She is due Fall 2001.

This beautiful pale fawn, half Peruvian male has some great color genetics.  His grand sire was deep maroon and his grand dam was black and he has thrown great color!  His first cria is a beautiful little female, very dense and crimpy coffee color with black tips.  He is currently bred to Halloween (dark coffee) and Remy who is our white Australian.  His conformation is positively perfect and his fiber has a lovely crimp style and he is dense.(23.1 micron, S.D. 4.6, CV 19.9, 4.8%>30)

A Legacy son!  Your chance to have your own offspring out of the highest selling male in history.  What a pedigree--a Legacy son and Accoyo Vengador grandson.  This male has the most incredible, lustrous fleece we have ever seen.  He's a beautiful light fawn (almost apricot color).   A truly gorgeous male!  His histogram at over 14 months was 18.7 microns with a S.D. of 3.7 and a C.V. of 19.8%.  At 18 months he is breeding (Dr. Ahmed Tibary from WSU has checked him out and said he is a go!).  This is a chance to have the finest gene pool there is on your own farm.

This is a full brother of our Therion.  He is dark brown with black tips and a most beautiful head. His muzzle is very, very short and his top knot is very dense.  He is dense, crimpy and has superb conformation.  He is a rare find!  His micron count of 22.7 is great for all of that color.  His personality is the greatest we have had on our farm.  Watch for his debut, ALPACA Magazine Spring & Herdsire edition, 2000.  He has a great disposition and presence.   He has been checked out by the reproduction specialist (Dr. Ahmed Tibary from WSU) and he is ready to breed!  His fleece took first at Alpacafest 2000.

Grazing Hills Gabriel:  $20,000

A one-quarter Accoyo, true lustrous bay black with a most incredible histogram for a black (at one year it was 18.7 with a S.D. of 3.5 and a C.V. of 18.7 with a 0.9% greater than 30 micron).  His father is Dreamer who has left Snowmass and is in New York at Hilltop Alpacas.  This is your chance to have black genes with a histogram that takes years to breed for!  He should be breeding this spring (2001).   Gabe took first in the conformation class and fleece at Alpacafest 2000.

This is one gorgeous male.  His color is rare, especially since he is half-Accoyo.  His fiber is soft as silk and his conformation is superb.  He should be breeding by spring or early summer of 2001.  His handle is incredible and his fiber truly feels like silk!  His histogram is micron of 20.8, SD of 4.8, CV of 23.1, and 4.4% greater than 30 microns.  He took first in conformation and second in fleece at Alpacafest 2000.

A darling little female with very unique markings.  She also has personality plus.  She's considered a dark rose-grey with white face, tuxedo, and legs and with a solid dark rose-grey blanket (almost mahogany color).  She is very dense with a very soft handle.

A beautiful dark fawn girl with lustrous fine fleece.  She has a black muzzle and tips.  If you want color, this cria has maroon and black on both sides--way back!  She is one-quarter Accoyo and a marvelous start for your colored herd.  She is dense and lustrous.

Mr. Knightly

Mr. Knightly is a gorgeous, dense, half-Accoyo male with a really handsome head and great presence.  He already knows he is special!  A great future herdsire for those beautiful colored alpacas!


We believe the breeding of the white Peruvian males with our beautifully-colored Chilean females will produce the best colored huacaya alpacas in the world. We currently have a true black female producing colored crias (dark brown to black) out of white Peruvian males!
